The mission of Dakota K9 is to improve the quality of life for persons on the Autistic spectrum, military veterans, first responders, and other persons affected by traumatic brain injuries by partnering them with specifically trained service dogs to meet their individual needs. Dakota K9 develops partnerships with rescues, shelters, and breeders to select and train dogs whose lives will be positively impacted by having a mission and job of their own. Dakota K9 is a nonprofit organization with one goal - to improve day to day life for persons on the Autistic spectrum or with traumatic brain injury through the assistance of well trained and properly equipped service dogs.

Dakota K9 works with pet owners to train, reinforce, and continue to develop the necessary skills and discipline in their dogs, whether working dogs or pets, to promote the most fulfilling possible relationships and lives.
